Big Sur was sluggish, no joy using the machine. With Kubuntu I have once gain loved the small machine.

I wish pfsense would dump the BSD kuk and go Linux.

Have you tried IPFire?

Apparently it's decent but the UI is dated.

I have yet to try it myself.
