Best LTE prices ever in SA

I will only consider LTE when its 300-500GB for R899. With ShowTime I want the GB's
 
I'm considering LTE for a student at res.
What's the performance/throughput of Telkom LTE/LTE-A vs VodaCom LTE?

EDIT
I see VodaCom advertise their rate as "an average speed of 15 Mbps"
Telkom advertise there LTE-A as "theoretical maximum of 150 Mbps"

Anyone tested?

R640 for 80Gb LTE not bad, compared to ADSL pricing (ADSL+line).... i tested LTE with iPad on weekend... ave >18-20Mbps up and 25-30Mbps down... ADSL ass kicker

Good prices, but at the cost of being stuck with those prices for 24 months!
 
And the Vodacom prices are for businesses only, so basically useless for the rest of us. Even Telkom doesn't enforce that. If only Telkom's LTE network covered more of Century City.

The Broadband Connect AKA BC product range of LTE, Microwave, Satellite and Fibre is ONLY for business accounts. NOT individuals. Closest thing to a individual getting this is if you are a active sole proprietor or the company does it for you under their account and allow the install at your home (subject to coverage). No coverage ... no BC goodness for you. Even if you have 3G coverage but no LTE ... you cant get it.

I am definitely getting a dual sim phone cash now. prepaid voice + 5GB LTE data

But after it's installed is it locked to one tower or are you free to use it while on the move?
 
Ockie, what if I have a registered Pty ltd, which I'm not using at the mo? Can I apply?

The sim will be locked down to the LTE network. Wont work on 3G, or at least in theory. That is why if you dont have LTE coverage, we wont sell it to you. We do not recommend you removing the sim and using it in another device other than what you were supplied with in the BC LTE product.

Yes you can, BUT, with the credit vetting process Vodacom will want to see the bank statements for this entity. Money coming in and money going out. Do you have a bank account for the company and is there money in it?
