Hi please advise,

My car is out of warranty and I am looking for the best mechanical and service cover.

Cover for

1. Engine problems

2. Gearbox issues

3. Electrical

4. Suspensions and alike

5. Service per 1000 km if it's there

Whom can I contact to cover me on such?

The car is honda jazz 1.4 2004 model

I see facebook ads of motor happy, unity warranty etc but I am unsure.

PS. I drive 160 km 3 days per week.

Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Let me get this right you want to service your car every after 1000 km, if it's like that it means you will service your car every month. Or may its typing error you wanted to say every after 10 000km.

I would suggest Motor Happy my friend she had no problem when she took her car for service. Please don't touch anything related to telesure. You can also try motor rite for car warranty.

I think my car is with SA Warranties. I'd have to check to be sure. The thing you need to watch out for though is the older the car / the higher the mileage, the less they cover. Also when you take out the cover matters.

Because I extended the warranty when I bought my new car (although it's not really an extension, it just takes over when the manufacturer's warranty ends), they cover items for a lot more. But with my previous car, because I bought it second hand, and it was 4 years old, they covered items for a lot less. So things would be different if I took out the warranty after the manufacturer's one ended.

The incredibly lame thing though is they pretty much insist that you get the car serviced with the dealer - that was the case with the policy on my old car, haven't checked the policy on the new one. That's a serious buzz kill. The only bit of admin I've had with SA Warranties was when they thought my car hadn't been regularly serviced. One I cleared the air, they covered what needed to be done.

I am still in two minds about the cost vs usefulness. I made rather poor decisions when I bought this car, and if I had to do it again, I am unsure if I'd get an extension. It's great if you buy a lemon though.

Please tell me more about your Jazz.
What's the mileage, does it have the cvt box?

Watched Fist Fight (2017). Main character drives a Gen 1 Jazz. Known as the Fit in the US of A.

I looked at motorhappy yesterday. They seem to charge R350 for their warranty. Not sure of the service when it comes to them paying.

My friend have a policy with motor happy (Liquid capital) he took his car for service mid February. Motorhappy authorized for the service to be done, 3 months later my friend called Ford and asked if liquid capital have paid. Ford response is no liquid capital have not paid them (Ford).

But my friend got his car same day and it just happened that he called Ford, if he didn't call he would still be in the dark. So we just wonder if next year Ford will service his car through liquid capital, and He got warranty plan with liquid capital.
