The Super Amoled Plus screen on the SGS2 puts it in a league of its own & you cant compare it to Super LCD screens. :wtf:

It is simply better than anything else on the market today.

Yeah, and the fact that I would use my camera to take pictures of high quality, not my phone... ;) SLR FTW!

I need a phone that is Android based, has a good battery life, is not slow, has a sleek interface and is relatively rugged. Hence the leaning towards the RAZR, but the S2 and Sensation still there in the running, heck, even the SE Arc is also...

Such a tough choice.. the S2's performance is fantastic, the SE Arc has the Bravia engine (nice to have, not a must have), the RAZR is tough as nails, the Sensation has Sense... need a phone that has all of the above in 1 package :P

Who's got the S2 already? Please post a photo of it here... the review I saw of the S2 on Youtube doesn't look the same as the picture listed on GSMArena??
 
There are a couple of different versions of the S2, especially in the states. The I9100 S2 on gsmarena is the one we have.

I take it you can fit your SLR in pockets, and carry it around wherever you go..

No, but when I know I need to take pictures and I need decent quality, then I will take the SLR.

For FB and simple uploads, a 5MP camera would also do fine so the camera is not the main selling point for me...

Update: I'm leaning more towards the S2 now as it seems the performance is far above it's colleagues... :)
 
I have the s2 and love it hey only bad thing I can say about the phone is the battery life but I fixed that by buying the official Samsung extended battery :-) and it doesn't effect how the phone looks or feels. I got it cause I felt it was a future proof phone and did not want to have buyers regret. Super happy with it:-)

What did the extended battery cost?
 
Cost about 600 or so including shipping plus comes with a cover to make it fit properly. Can get it cheaper but I wanted it to ship fast and not wait a month.

You can get it from Expansys.co.za for R400 +, which I think is way too expensive.

Honestly, my SGS2 battery lasts more than one day, depending on how you use it. Seeing that I just got myself Grand Theft Auto III for my phone, my battery life will suck from now till I have finished the game. :) And isn't it an amazing game? Feels like I have a PSP in my hands. Anyways, I'm going off-topic here....

Unfortunately there are still a lot of old Nokia grayscale 1'' phone users out there, who expects a superphone with a 4.3'' display to last a week as well. Just get over it, not gonna happen anytime soon.

Just plug in your charger and top your battery up. How hard can it be?
 
The reason I got the battery its because I'm not by a charger the whole day and I am a heavy user. Now I find it a joy to use. Not saying its for everyone but for me it makes a huge difference and is money well spent :-)

Custom Roms make up for that. Lack of hardware is BS for the Nexus range.
I'd still like to hear something official from Google about that.

OP go for the S2 which is a top rated phone for 2011 or do the RAZR for something which is eye catching and not seen around very often as yet.
