Hello,

looking for a good, fast and easy way to backup all my data online...
and then maybe be able to schedule uploads or like a drop box or something...

thanks for suggestions!

i like it, but im more looking for storage/backup not syncronisation...

syncback + dropbox, someone else also mentioned SkyDrive the other day.

I also recommend Dropbox but GMail Drive is also useful if you aren't storing medium to big files. Could always rent a server, they cheap overseas.

Ever considered using google to answer these questions?

We use Amazon S3 at work for storage http://aws.amazon.com/s3/
Might not be what exactly what you are looking for, and I don't know if you get backup tools that work with S3, but it is EXTREMELY cheap. If you're willing to settle for only 99.99% guaranteed uptime, they charge you $0.10 per GB of data stored. So storing 100GB of data will cost you $10 per month.

Yeah, I think Windows Live Skydrive is good: 25 GB free.

http://skydrive.live.com

Be careful of using Skydrive, at least for the immediate future.
I looked into it extensively, and even posted a thread on their forum - wanted to be sure I could access my files (PDF, Excel, Word) and e-mail them in future, as attachments.

This can be done in Gmail Docs. - in Skydrive you can only e-mail the link to your document/attachment, which when clicked on, will invariably open a tab / new page on IE or user's OS.

I didn't want that, so have shelved the idea for now - i.e. not using Skydrive, even though you can store 25Gig's vs. Gmails 1Gig for docs. Skydrive have sent my query to some dept. for review, or something to that effect, but wouldn't confirm IF it would even be implemented.

ADrive also allow for lots of storage space, but I've looked at that, and same story as Skydrive, so my advice is Gmail, and open multiple a/c's if you run out of space.

Yea, also using the Amazon S3 solution via their Jungledisk service : https://www.jungledisk.com/ .

Best part about Jungledisk is how it mounts your storage as a network drive [like it's just some normal harddrive] . This implies you can do anything with it, any sync/backup app will work with it , and you can simply copy/paste if you like too. You don't need to use the browser or anything.

So cost wise, you pay $2 a month for Jungledisk [which is a sync + backup + mount tool and service] and then you pay for the actual space you use . I have about 5GB-10GB floating around there and it's obscenely cheap, something like $0.50 per month for the storage. The other good thing with Amazon S3 is the tools you get on top of this [also provided by Amazon] , things like running Virtual Servers and Hosting Files and Websites directly from your S3 drive.
