I've got a fairly decent HTPC and up till about a month ago I was very reliant on my MCE Remote & reciever. That was until I bought one of these:

Cideko AVK02 - Air Keyboard For Digital Live

Now I'm looking for a good open-source media centre distro of linux that I can use this on. I've had an XP-MCE license but I can't fork out for a Windows 7 Premium license just yet.

Any suggestions?

How about XBMC as a standalone? Otherwise MythBuntu?

What are the hardware specs of the HTPC, etc?

It's AM2 3500+ with 4gnarled RAM and a new hdmi enabled graphics card.

So those two are still at the top? I'm going to give the ish boot options a go.

Wow, that keyboard is awesome. I'm busy setting up a digital signage system for my wife and that is giving me ideas for it.

It's awesome, my only gripe would be that I'd like to be able to set how long it should be until it goes to sleep because often I find with shows when there's an intro and then it goes to sleep by the time you want to fast forward through the opening credits.
