check the BIOS for the SD card issue, I used external DVD drive and flash disk for different installs (tried XP, Win7, diff linux) it should give u the option to choose normal flash disk, the SD Card, embedded SSD, ext hdd etc to install OS.
When installing a Windows flavor don't format SSD in NTFS... there are some threads/websites to suggest that is why the thing is so sloooooow with Windows.... format in FAT32 (although when I tried Win7, I didnt seem to get the option to do FAT32, so Win7 slow, dumped it)
Response time on Windows too slow for my liking, so I'm sticking to Ubuntu Remix for now, whatever can't run in native linux, will try it thru WINE. (currently having a bit of a sukkel with logmein.... desktop on other side's desktop not refreshing the screen to make proper use of remote desktop.... busy trying Hamachi vpn and remote desktop)

I flashed the BIOS to the latest version. The SD card is picked up after Windows 7installation ie is displayed in My Computer, but I cannot see it in the setup screens.
What would have been nice is to set up a "RAID" across the built-in SSD and the SD card, allowing the OS to see it as one drive. Its obviously risky if one removes the SD whilst the OS is running, but that could be prevented by using common sense.

You can try the official yahoo messenger here.. it's old so not sure if it allows Video calling.

it's a .deb so just click the file to run the installer.
Another option is Ekiga, Ubuntu comes with Ekiga and you just have to set it up for Yahoo but I've not tried it myself.
