Best overclocked CPU

it will affect how much the CPU can overclock indirectly. The lowest memory speed you can run is 2X the CPU default FSB. That is if you have a 333MHZ CPU, your ram can only run at 667MHz minimum. So if you increase your FSB to 500MHz, your RAM is now at 1,000MHz but if you RAM can't make 1000MHz then your FSB can't be at 500MHz and in turn your CPU clock will be limited by the multiplier used with the FSB limit

Am I the only one still running amd, ok wait don't answer that ;)

But for under R1k I would strongly recommend the AMD 5000+ Black Edition I got mine for about R900, a while back.

It's stock clocks are 2.6 I got it to 3.3 on air cooling, runs very nice.

No you not the only one, just the only one who writes about it.

Ye, and I totally wouldn't recommend it! At all!!

Whoo, that's a bit harsh, I just wonder why, anyway don't want to start a war with an intel fanboy....

you recommended the E2160?

Now I not saying the E2160 is bad, in fact it is quite good, it overclocks like a bat out of hell, but I do think that the 5000+Be is still a worthy consideration.
