Best Prepaid bundle for schools

Hi we are a pc shop here in east london and we will offer schools tablets which need sim cards and data bundles.
We are needing the best prepaid data bundles we can get.. would just like to know if anyone on here can advise us which one to go for. Will be needing maybe 5-10 gb package.
We are also looking at Vodacoms range so between Voda or Mtn which do you think offers the best package?
We are not interested in getting contracts as the students dont always use so much data per month.

Forget MTN and/or Vodacom! The only half reasonable option you have in South Africa is CellC. Go have a look at their prepaid offers.

Looks like there is good coverage for 8ta in East London, from what I have seen 8ta has the best prepaid bundle for 5 gigs per month. For R1800 they offer 60 gigs (during the day) + 60 gigs ( night data- 11pm-5am) for 12 months, which works out to 5 gigs per month. The cellc deal offers 50 gigs (day) + 150 gigs (night) for R1800 but for your purpose, you would probably need more data during the day.

Are you forced to use MTN and Vodacom? Both of them offer ridiculous prices for prepaid data of anything over 2 gigs

If you're trying to get connectivity to the tablets in a fixed location, e.g. the school, I would discourage you from getting a prepaid SIM and 3G package for each tablet. Rather get an ADSL line, and a high cap or uncapped account, and a few wireless access points spread throughout the school. The tablets will all be able to connect via WiFi, and share the ADSL internet connection. This will work out a lot cheaper over the long run, will be more stable and consistent, give you less issues, and offer better latency and download speeds. It will also be easier to manage and monitor.

If you're unable to get ADSL where you are, you might want to consider a 3G router instead with a single SIM card, and either a 3G contract or a large prepaid data package (Cell C have a 100GB package to use over a year for R2500). Again, you will then share the connection over WiFi.

If you're looking for true mobility wherever the tablets will go, then you're on the right track - getting each tablet it's own SIM card. Check the data coverage maps of each cell provider, and test with a prepaid SIM card and smallish data bundle (500mb) before investing further.
