Not too complicated. The 1055t is a 3.2GHZ quad core and a 2.8GHZ hex core.

1055t from the AMD side is starting to appeal to me now!

if u intel fan boy: intel
if u want the best currently (desktop): intel
because i doubt you will see any difference in gaming with the previous mentioned cpu's just go amd so you got a hex for when every extra cores are needed..
then you can laugh at your friends that only have quad core.. K?

Thats top end stuff Osiris. The 1055 goes for around R2000, and a suitable motherboard will be another R1500

Cheaper than the Intel stuff. Basing on price alone is lame esp if you are trying to push Intel as the cheaper option

When you take the whole platform into account, including the fact thet socket 1156 doesnt have enough bandwidth for SATA3 and USB3, one would really have to be a fanboy to get intel.
Unless you are will to pay for a proper i7 like the 930 and upwards AMD is the better buy.
