So I have R1500. What is the best possible PSU that money can buy for that amount?

PSU must be new from a [online] store as I am not interested at all in 2nd hand units.

Wattage you are looking for? What is the intended use (what components is it going to run)?

Let me put it this way, if I gave you R1500 for the best possible PSU and didnt tell you what it will run as (gaming, mining, solitaire etc) or what components it will power. Your job ONLY to get the possible PSU for the money. All I can tell you is that the best possible PSU for R1500 will run what I am intedning using the PSU for.

You select right. You win. You select wrong. You voted off the island. LOL

I'll take one of these, depends on the purpose:
Corsair TX750M, 750w

be quiet! Dark Power Pro 10, 650w Gold certified

Antec EarthWatts Platinum Series EA-650 650W
<--- Platinum Certified. Great efficiency, if you do not intend to Sli or CF or overclock, this will be excellent.
Corsair HX650 V2.31 80 Plus Gold Certified 650 Watt Power Supply

You said depending on the purpose. Could you tell me the 4 different purposes for the 4 PSU's you listed?

Why is the platinum certified antec not good for SLI, CF or overlock?

This is arrogant and stupid. There is no product to beat others in each and every aspect. There are always good and bad sides, depends how you are going to use the product. It is why you are being asked questions.

Didn't get enough good info out of the Carb thread? Second hand HX1050 is your best option for that money. Otherwise buy a generic 400w for now and then start looking at buying a PSU when you actually know what the heck you want to do with it.

You've got the same sort of replies on two different forums filled with knowledgeable hardware people, do you still think everyone else is the problem?

In that case, get the Antec EarthWatss Platinum, but don't go and run Tri-Sli or Tri-CF on that baby with GTX590s or HD6990.

Ignore the OP, he's not interested in opinions as he knows better already.

He wouldnt buy a 1.5K PSU just to watch movies, so we assume its for gaming, I bought a Xigma Stealth Vector 850W 80+ Silver for R1800 @ matrix, is that a ripoff?
