So I have R1500. What is the best possible PSU that money can buy for that amount?

PSU must be new from a [online] store as I am not interested at all in 2nd hand units.

Antec EarthWatts Platinum Series EA-650 650W <--- Platinum Certified. Great efficiency, if you do not intend to Sli or CF or overclock, this will be excellent.

Your job ONLY to get the possible PSU for the money. All I can tell you is that the best possible PSU for R1500 will run what I am intedning using the PSU for.

Why is the platinum certified antec not good for SLI, CF or overlock?

Didn't get enough good info out of the Carb thread? Second hand HX1050 is your best option for that money. Otherwise buy a generic 400w for now and then start looking at buying a PSU when you actually know what the heck you want to do with it.

In that case, get the Antec EarthWatss Platinum, but don't go and run Tri-Sli or Tri-CF on that baby with GTX590s or HD6990.
