Best recipes for a bread machine

This puppy is on daily deal again, tons of people have this model and swear by it

What happened to the days of ouma making bread using the bare necessities.
Adding machine to bread is just wrong imo.

I still make a lot of bread from scratch - sourdough for example. But for basic loaves and ones with raisins and the like, the bread machine does these well and is quick and easy. Also means you can choose decent flour and have much better bread than the majority of store bought stuff.

I have that one, it's getting on now but does the job. Don't bake in mine, just use it to make the dough, then take out and use for pizza, bread, rolls etc.

Have a few recipes I have tried over the years, experiment and see what you like. The ones in the manual are a good place to start, otherwise google for bread machine ***** dough recipes (***** being pizza, french loaf, rolls etc.)

I used to, until the seal went on the pan. Impossible to source a replacement so far. I mostly used the machine to make the dough and baked elsewhere. I've been using the stand mixer in lieu of the machine.
This happened to my mom's one as well. It lasted for a few years and then that was it basically.

Stopped using my bread maker to make bread, only use it now for the dough. Don't like the heavy bread with a hole in the bottom where the blade was

I use the recipies in this book although my machine is a different one altogether.

Recepes are page 20 and up :)

I bought a Russell Hobbs one at a charity shop for R150. A bit of cleaning and it works a treat.

I just use it to make the dough though. I like baking in the oven more.

Nice - which one? The do make a good dough. The loaf shape is just kind of weird though.

I bought a pan at Pick'n Pay that I use to bake it. I don't like it in the breadmaker.

Do yourself a favour and get a silicone bread pan, after some time the normal tin pans start sticking
The one I have I have been using for a few years - no need to use spray and cook or any anti sticking agents
