Oblivion was very good! I find myself playing WoW wishing i was as interested in the story as I was in that game.

Diablo 2 was very good as well.

lol... i think that grand thief auto (all of them) were awesome and this is because rock star took a very un-conventional route to games and it seems to have paid off... although the age restiction is a little high... they still good. and then how could i forget about manhunt by rockstar games... the most disturbing game i've ever played and if you weren't phased by it you really most be a killer. i like violent games largely because the game producers don't give a crap about what they put into a M+18 game...

Then... Shadowrun (Sega 16bit... being remade for PC and XBOX360! I'm keen!), Baldur's Gate 1/2 and Diablo 1/2.

KOTOR 1/2 was pro as well.

Fallout 1 & 2 -- Interplay
Thunderscape -- SSI
Gothic 1 -- PB

Lots more -- to many to mention, but if you are looking at quality and rpg content not much that was made in the last few year unfortunately.

Wow... Fallout fans! Whenever I mention Fallout irl I usually just get these blank "eh, what" stares.

Best rpgs ever: Fallout+2. Can't wait for 3, even if Bethesda is making it.

Incidentally, Diablo and GTA aren't roleplaying games...
