Best RPG

If you find a place where you can buy the original Fallout games, let me know... I lost mine, and been playing F2 off a 'backup' *cof* disc.

Diablo is a RPG, Hack & Slash RPG to be precise. How GTA could even be considered a RPG is beyond me and I would like to know what some people here are smoking.

I guess you have to look at what defines an rpg. You are playing a role and it is a game, what are the other criteria?

Fudzy, by those criteria Duke Nukem is also a roleplaying game.

I don't consider anything that doesn't have *real* character-changing decisions with consequences to be a roleplaying game. Then again, I'm an old-school pnp style rpg fan.

Character-based decisions that affect your gameplay. Unlike Final Fantasy, where whatever speech options you pick you still do exactly the same things. Or Diablo, where nothing about your character makes any difference whatsoever.

I love the fallout games, I bought a box set in the UK for ÂŁ4.99 at Virgin megastores.

Fallout 1 & 2 were awesome but I didn't enjoy tactics all that much

offline .... Neverwinter Nights series and Baldur's Gate series rocks! Oh and Diablo2

Guild Wars is the online version

Depends which genre crpg or hack and slash.

CRPG it's baldur's gate while hack and slash it's titans quest

I liked Oblivion and put about 120 hours into it, was a brilliant game.
Neverwinter 2 is good but stopped playing cause my graphics card fried:mad: .

Baldurs Gate 2 still trumps them all.

First is best

1.) Lionheart - Legacy of the crusader
2.) Dungeon Siege 2
3.) Oblivion
4.) DarkStone
5.) Titan Quest
6.) Diablo

Diablo 2 did not make it to the list due to it's stupid saving structure
