Hi folks,
In the coming year, I will be moving to the East Rand from the Eastern Cape. I lived in the East Rand before.
I'm thinking of Kempton Park/Boksburg area.

What would be the best solution for me in terms of connectivity ?
I will rent a cottage, for a minimum of 6 months, so I will need a wireless solution, but I'd like to torrent as well, and spend time on Youtube. I won't be a heavy downloader, just now and then, and of course catching live streams on Youtube.

I have no ISP preference, I just want a value for money package which would do the job.
I will decide on price once I see some options. Nothing outrageous, of course.

Thanks for any advice.

You could try a rain sim and see how good or bad service is.

If rain is good, then nothing beats it’s value.

Otherwise look at Axxess and their MTN fixed lte options

Why not look at fibre options at your new address? You might even be lucky enough to get a second premise created specifically for the cottage and avoid needing a wireless setup. Drop me a PM with your new address and I'll confirm for you

We got fibre here. Cottages with great sized yards for the price as well. Not sure if there will be a spot open but there are currently three open, I'm moving from one to one of the bigger units (the only bigger one).

PM for more details.

Telkom has Uncapped LTE prepaid too. Works OK. depends if you have reception

I thought it was a given that renting a cottage lets you mooch off the main house’s fibre.

Thank you everybody for all the responses. I have a lot to think about.
