Best solutions for load shedding

Anybody think the following is worth it?
1) Increase home loan bond by R250 000
2) Monthly premium increase of say... R3500.
3) Use money to install max (+-750kwh) per month solar panel + batteries.

I'm trying to figure out what solution won't be taxed heavily when this supposed generator/solar tax comes in. How far is it?

Currently exporting 2kW to the national grid. My load right now is 2.5kW, so nett benefit to the grid is 4.5kW.
