best value laptop for R10000

Hi all. Need some advice on the best value laptop

Purpose: for work primarily but will use personally
Ram: min 4 pref 6 gig
Resolution : must be greater than 1366x767
CPU: Good i5 as minimum
Hdd: min 500 gb more is better don't need sad
Screen: don't need touch screen
Gpu: integrated is fine, dedicated is a plus

Preferable if I can pick up as I need by next week Tuesday so if in store would be nice.

Look at the Dell Inspiron range... 3721 and N5721 (17.3" models) are in the 10k price range and Dell next-business-day warranty... Tops... Unfortunately they come with only 1 year and looking at upgrading the warranty could push you over that but worth while long term if the laptop moves around a lot... Resolution wise they are 1600 x 900p.

Personally... I would fork out a bit more and look at something like a Dell Latitude E5530, a bit more to pay but 3 year warranty and a freaking solid machine... Resolution wise its a 15.6" @ FHD 1920 x 1080p (BEAST).

Those Dell Latitudes are great machines and the warranty is GOLD. Speaking from experience in maintaining >100 of them in my first job.

If you want to massively costs and take a risk, take a look at incredible connection for a demo machine and swap out the disk for an SSD. Just make sure it has a dedicated graphics card, those built-in Intel cards are terrible and many apps these days offload work to the graphics card so it's worth the extra R's.

Only place I saw stating that is on Laptopdirect. Lenovo website doesn't mention anything about it. No one talks about it in reviews. I highly doubt it would be 100Mbps, since the Intel WiFi module is pretty solid.
 
is it worth selling my main pc in sig ,how many do u guys think i will get for it

and buy this laptop lenovo y50

Looking at buying a notebook as my notebook has reached end of life. Starting to overheat, hard drive making noise,fan about to fail me. Don't wanna cough out R1000 to buy stuff for it
