Hi,
Can anyone give me their personal experience regarding this, there are so many options available, but would prefer hearing from people here in SA, preferably also on the Telkom LTE.

I’m not searching for a VPN to bypass my 50gb P2P limit. I’m searching for a service that supports P2P traffic since it would seem like the anti-piracy agencies are sending out letters left, right and center, Also with new institutions like “BREIN” http://mybroadband.co.za/news/inter...ts-permission-to-collect-your-ip-address.html and http://mybroadband.co.za/news/internet/158951-south-african-bittorrent-users-beware.html and the local SAFACT, I would prefer to be on the safe side.

What I would like the service to include is the following :

• P2P Traffic
• DNS service
• Anonymous browsing* (This does not bother me to much as I can just use one of the proxies on “HidemyAss”, But would be nice if its included in the VPN package)

I have tried IBVPN https://www.ibvpn.com/ which works like a charm. The P2P only options cost +- R70 (1 month contract), But if I want the full package which includes above bullets it will set me back R170per month.
It drops my connection every once in a while and it doesn’t auto reconnect, This defeats the purpose of VPN since Utorrent will continue downloading….:-/. I’m also not that happy that they keep certain logs for 10 days, it also uses dynamic IP’s instead of shared IPs. Speed wise I get about 700kb per second. I don’t know if this is good or bad for a VPN (Get +-40mb on speedtest when VPN is disconnected)

I tried ipvanish. It was *** slow. So following this with interest.

This looks very good and quite affordable considering what you get, I just don't know why they don't offer us a 1 hour trail or something to test the service :-/

Will try them for a month.
Exodus streaming via IPVanish has just not worked at all...

Good luck. Hope it works for you! Works well for me although I don't do the VPN/p2p route.

Will you please give us a small review after you have tested it. Im seriously considering also trying them. otherwise i'm going to buy a 1 month package from IBVPN (Torrent package)until we receive your feedback :p

* The most important probably being Torrent speeds, connection reliability.
* Streaming Speed, any problems with the DNS.

I will not be using their DNS, so won't be able to comment on them. Will not be using Netflix.

Streaming I can report back on... torrents maybe, depending on what SickRage does.

Wait until you desperately need to reload your PC with linux and don't have a DVD anywhere around :D

Thanks!!, Hopefully Sinbad will find it in his heart to test give us his feedback of this service.

I've gone through a few VPN services, but have always come back to AirVPN.
https://airvpn.org/

Great torrent speeds. Ditto wrt streaming. Reliable connection.

Multitude of payment options. No recurring payments. Up to you to renew.

Oh, and it plays nice with Exodus streaming as well.

This looks and sounds very good. They dont say much about p2p besides that its supported.

When my current 3 day trail ends I will buy a month access and see how this is. i'm really happy with IBVPN to be honest, My biggest issue is the disconnections which happens probably 2 - 3 times a day. Its not much, but the moment it disconnects it does not stop Utorrent from downloading, indirectly exposing me.
i do run "Peerblock" as well, but who knows if this even really works.

My personal OpenVPN solution works pretty well. Server is hosted in Germany.
