what do you use to ensure that your staging/live environments are up and running?

I'm looking for some kind of free tool that I can install and setup to ping the website from time to time to check status

Can’t u just use monit? Been using that for local services (on myside of networks) but pretty sure u can set to do pings etc and send notice via email or even make it send sms

Basic example bye hook it up via curl with Clickatell? Or your own gateway?

Ps. Wow those were the days hey, having your own little server with sabnzbd+, couchpotato, headphones, plex etc amazing how things have changed over the last two decade and a half.
