What games do you play? Fps games seem to rubber band like crazy

How does it compare to Telkom LTE uncapped or dont you have access to it?

Ito performance and price/value for money?

Never used telkom LTE but I have used MTN and VODACOM and this is so fast compared to them. I pay R999 pm for 6mbs download and 1mbs upload. I never have problems and I have never had downtime.

So far, things have gone ok - from Thursday to Saturday streaming and browsing are really fast... But downloads seem a little slower than they should be - downloading a 360Mb Nvidia driver from the official site (not torrents or p2p) my dl speed ranged between 0 and 400KB/s - averaging out at about 250KB/s - a little slow for a 4Mbps connection. Downloading Windows 10 ISO from the official Microsoft site also took a bit longer than expected but I didn't monitor the bandwith. All in all, fairly happy with the connection but not sure if the download issues experienced are normal. I know there is an issue with one of their providers today - so international browsing and streaming pretty much not possible.

So, it appears that the wild fluctuations in my downloads were due to my LAN card being on the fritz. Once I switched from LAN to Wifi, my steam downloads completely stablised - only dipping when bandwith is used by my other devices.

Does anyone know if lvl 7 has a capped product?

If they do, they don't advertise it on their site. Why would you want a capped product though - considering their is no FUP and only torrents and peer to peer traffic is shaped on their residential packages.

Hi Level-7,

Just want to find out more or less the location of the Highveld tower please?

Thanks

Yeah they do not say so on the website.
I want capped so I can keep them as a fail over solution. I have been offered VDSL, so ill be moving to that soon.

What hardware does Level 7 use and install at your house? Is it truly uncapped accept for P2P and torrent shaping? Looking at the 4 MB package, will mostly be used for streaming Showmax and Netflix.

Hi Guys, We use Ubiquiti Powerbeam m5 for the last mile connection.

@ArchieChoke we dont sell any capped packages.

They are truly uncapped, like you say only the P2P is shaped during the day but works perfect after midnight.

I use it for Netflix and never have problems and sometimes 3 devices are streaming at the same time.

Alright, so having been with Level 7 for just over a month now I figure it's worth reporting that I'm really impressed so far - the installation was quite quick and professionally done, the service has been outstanding and customers are alerted to possible outages in advance. I've been using the connection mainly for streaming tv, movies and music but O/S and other software updates, HTTP- and steam downloads are pretty quick as well.

Thanks, Level-7 - keep up the good work.
