ok, so I have to organise a router for my parents to use at home, and they all use laptops so wifi would be the way to go. The house has got quite a few walls, so it needs to have a big range so you can connect anywhere in the house. Anyone have any recommendations on the router that I should get? Money is not so much of an issue, but i dont wanna pay a ridiculous amount for it.

We've discussed this quite recently.

We also have to know what type of wireless you have already on the laptops in order to advise you. Also, how big is the house? If it's just a modem router, then you should get something good for under R2k.

Sounds like your internet is already sorted and you only need a router. Not one with build in DSL.

Netgear has two new awsome products coming soon so maybe wait for that.

RANGEMAX™ DUAL BAND WIRELESS-N GIGABIT ROUTER - PREMIUM EDITION
WNDR3700 (This is just a router)

DGND3300 - RANGEMAX DUAL BAND WIRELESS-N DSL GATEWAY
DGND3300 (Router plus build in DSL)

As for current products you can go wrong with RANGEMAX NEXT WIRELESS-N ROUTER GIGABIT EDITION
WNR854T or RANGEMAX™ WIRELESS-N ROUTER WITH BUILT-IN DSL MODEM
DG834N

Yup, I also give the Billion a big thumbsup, I have a 7300G and its wireless is superb as well.

Are there any shops in Johannesburg where I would be able to find any of these routers?
