Hi All,

I am looking into getting wireless prepaid internet. But I find all the offers in the market to be a information overload.

What I am looking for is the best connection speed, high data bundle (10Gig upwards per month) option and best coverage.

Is there anywhere on My Broadband where someone has done such a comparison?

From what I have read on the forum is that Cell C is a no go as sometimes gigs just vanishes from data bundles with no real reason.

You're probably going to have to make some compromises - you either choose cheap price (8ta & Cell) or good (maybe not good, but better than 8ta or CellC) coverage (MTN & Vodacom). Connection speed really depends on your location and thus it might not be the most important criteria to base your choice of network on.

I'm not sure about all the available packages, but Cell C has two offers you might want to consider: R3,999 for 120GB (10GB per month) and R7,999 for 240GB (20Gb per month).

With 8ta you can get 10GB per month for R199 or 10GB + 10GB (midnight data) for R299, but that's on contract.

I'm not entirely sure, but as far as I know MTN and Vodacom don't even compete remotely with regards to price.

I've never heard about Cell C's cap simply vanishing - it never happened to me before. Also remember that Cell C's network is growing fast and that they are apparently still on track to reach something like 97% population coverage by the end of the year.

I very happy with my prepaid Cell C deal in general - no real issues here.

For that size bundle I think your choice is between Cell-C and iBurst.
iBurst announced their new pricing today, see here.

If this was happening I'm sure there would have been a MyBroadband article about it.

For prepaid users there is only CellC. Others only on subscription or contract. For 2GB there is also 8ta GoBig 3GB bundle.
