Now this is something strange? For the past few days, the MTN tower (which serves my Afrihost Mifi) has been extremely slow (0.03Mbps on speedtest.net). The Mifi was reporting full 3G, however it seems that the connection between the tower and the internet was just... broken? This happened on a usual MTN sim as well as on the Afrihost one.
Now - this morning, I woke up to speeds of 8Mbps+ ! I don't know why it just randomly fixed itself - but it did. I was wondering - are there any other forumites who have experienced this type of thing? Could it be that the just upgraded the backhaul between the tower and the internet, or could it be that there was an issue between the tower and the Mifi (even though it was reporting full 3G)?
