So this has now been a long fight with 8ta to get some sort of reasonable speeds from them. Since I signed up for the 8ta contract I haven't had the greatest of signal levels (despite being promised it would be fine by the sales lady).
I normally got an average of around 1.5Mbs sometimes 1Mbs and rarely 4Mbs. My pings initially were okay, 250ms or so to international servers and 60-80ms locally. Around 2 months ago the pings started failing horribly, 800ms is the best ping, speeds dropped to around 1Mbs on average.
Then starting on November the network is beyond disgusting.

ave of 900ms ping to local servers, 0.16Mbs download and 0.02Mbs upload

ave of 1200ms pings to local servers, 0.17Mbs download and 0.02Mbs upload
5th: http://www.speedtest.net/result/1574524519.png
And again today, almost 1300ms pings, download speeds of 0.05Mbs and uploads of 0.03Mbs
Early this morning I was getting speeds of 0.83Mbs and its plummeted now to these pathetic levels.
Now I emailed the [email protected] address and got no response. I had to tweet to the 8ta twitter account to get a response from them. "We have sent to the network department". Well great thanks. Thanks for doing the right thing and informing me that you received my email and that someone is trying to help me.
Almost another month has passed and I have still had zero updates, until I go tweet the 8ta account again. The response I get is that they are busy building 2 new sites in the area and they will find out when they will be operational. Well at least now they are trying to get me information. The problem is, I was told the same thing when I forst got the network department to try help. This was maybe 4 months ago, back then I was promised a new site would be up and running within a week or two. This also does nothing to compensate me for the loss of internet until these sites come online and nor does it explain how the network goes from poor quality but usable to unusable within 2 days.
Of course all these speed tests are done with nothing else running, all the running processes have been checked as well as the 8ta GUI showing traffic to rule out the possibility of a rouge app running and eating the bandwidth.
Running a tracert on yesterdays connection:
