Beware when buying a Property in Possession

I dont understand why you cant just take the doors off? The property belongs to you now and removing the doors to renovate them is your bussiness...
 
I don't really see the complexity of the situation if you are the owner of the property and can prove it. Surely you are entitled to renovate your own property, and there is no agreement between the tenants, that are not supposed to be there in the first place, and you as the owner. I'm just saying...
 
This is absolutely shocking, have you seeked counsel on what are your options?

Yes we have. Apparently our only option is to wait for the eviction notice by the court. After the eviction notice is delivered, the occupant still has 14 days to leave before he is helped out.

Everyone seems to sympathize, but unfortunately no one can help us, because of the laws of our country. Unfortunately, in this case, the law is now protecting the wrong side.

That sucks. By the way, I think the courts will not evict the tenants unless the tenants have somewhere to go & I think you are responsible for that. Some guy was frustrated for more than a year. The dick tenant kept appealing the evictions all the way to the high court. I wonder how he could afford to do that while claiming he can't cover rent.

Or, rather, you, and 20 of your friends move in and throw a house-warming party that lasts until the guy leaves?
 
Seriously, i'm considering starting a business with all the con-artists and problem tenants i'm reading about here. If we can agree on a fee, i'll go outside the house every night and play the most god-aweful music i can find. Also surely he works during the day, and you should have the keys to the house, you can go in any time if I am not mistaken?

Unbelievably, we don't have keys. And the occupant "works" from home. Might try the music plan :-p
 
You may not evict him, but you are well within your rights to "move" in and make lots of noise and make his life unpleasant. (I would guess at least)

You may not remove doors and windows on the house, but why not remove the gates and such entering the property.

If the fence is not secure then they are likely to move. Vagrants might enjoy a good sleep and free shopping experience there....
 
Also the person there is not a tenant but the ex-owner. So I doubt tenant laws apply...

So what exactly happens to you if you just go there with friends, move all his stuff out including him, change the locks and move in. What will you be charged with?
