I cannot believe it - it got to 1543 bytes left and crashed.
[PC actually decided to reboot]
And - cos I wos in a rush - it's running through the proxy and is not properly resumable.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
So - 408kb's [512 line - LOL LOL - as if] 13% done - looooong wait ahead.
*sigh*
hey - I used ReGet - problem woz I didn't set the options correctly and it used the proxy and therefore it woz non-resumable and the proxy ran out of disk space and ... sigh ... these thngs just happen when you're not paying attention.
/me'll only buy SF when there's a server full of peeps playing it.
Otherwise - forgetaboutit - got burned with BF Vietnam
- trick me once - shame on you - trick me twice ...
I have it. Downer is that the sites that have upgraded are overseas and just don't like the sucky ping rate.
I did some single player SAS vs Terrs. The Terrs look cool in civvies and dishdashs. And you get new accents. Vehicles are okay - some 6 wheeled buggy thing on the SAS side and the Terrs had Technicals - bakkie with bfg on the back ala Black Hawk Down. Had a brief look at the night mission. It looks great insofar as it is not pitch black and there are big differences between the lit areas and the dark areas. Flash Bangs and night vision goggles - whoohoo. Haven't tried anything else.
Last night some people were using flash bangs in Shakir Penisular and Porkchop had been raving about the new toys at Strike on Karkand. I am not sure how he was getting to see the stuff. You start up BF2:SF and when you select a BF2 (with a red2) server it sort of back out a little and then takes you back in. Looks like normal BF2 to me. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I don't get the toys.
And I claim to have received the first copy in South Africa. Unless some EA employees got their grubbies on it first. Third was (I bought 2 copies) a little old lady - I kid you not. Probably fetching for her son but you can never tell. Fourth was some chap even more round than me with glasses. I think that Budget Technologies must have had about 30 pre orders for collection in their store - can't tell how many were on Delivery.
