I posted this on the SGS forum regarding Co-Op or trying to play Co-Op without having to connect to the net. It's just a theory I have about using the shortcut command lines. I haven't tested it out yet, and will only be able to this weekend. Can you see if it works?
1. Have all your friends start the game and set up an Offline account for themselves. They must take note of the spelling of their accounts as they might need it later. Now everyone except you must exit the game.
2. Start a single player game. Once your in the game pause it by pressing the "P" key or whatever you set pause to be.
3. Now go to all your friends and go into the properties of their BF2 shortcut. Now add this command line to the target: +joinserver [Your IP] NB - without the brackets. Let them start and see if that works.
4. If this doesn't work you may have to add this line first: +playername [your friends Offline accountname] NB - without the brackets.
Here is an example of how my command line would look if I had to join you and your IP was 192.168.0.1:
"E:\games\eagames\bf2\bf2.exe" +playername |BFC|Scart +joinserver 192.168.0.1
Try it first without the +playername command to see if it works, then with.
