BF2 usage! 48map/ 40 megs hour , 32map 30 megs/hour

Ok so considering bandwidth is more expensive than a round trip to paris we need to get some figures out here so we wont go over the limit and cap ourselves!!

So tonight i'll play for exactly an hour on a full 48 player map( hopefully there will still be 48 players available)

and tomorrow post my usage for it!!

Same with the 32 player.

eish... you poor ADSL users have really been nerfed by Telkom... feel sorry for you okes... ;)
 
Mebbe you'd better play for 10 minutes and then times the result by 6. Otherwise you'll not be playing tomorrow ...

MKay - it's not that bad. But - yea - should be interesting.
 
I tested this before using netlimiter to measure usage
64 player maps is about 36mb/4mb per hour
32 player is a bit less about 28mb/3.5mb per hour
 
Are there as many as 48 players in an average evening on the SAIX server?
 
im paying 349 for 10 gigs

geez what do you guys need more than 10 gigs for?

so all i need is bf 2 and surfing 10 gigs has to be enough


ummm nope there arent 48 there is like 3 times that many if not more on saix servers
 
the damn ppl i work with have already used 300+megs today since 8 this morning!!!! my poor 10 gig account doesnt look like its gonna make it through the month.......... gonna have to issue some slaps around the office!

Fudzy, between about 6 and 10 pm those 48 player servers are like a 56k dial up line - always choked ;)

That's the thing with BF2, it scales, so you never really feel cluttered.
 
well i got about 50 megs an hour for 48 player server , altho i was quite talky with the squad!!!!

well my house is wirelessly connected to the office... hence we share bandwidth!!!
 
Distance between house and orifice?
I know of a guy who runs a radio network connection from top of Ladies Slipper Mountain to his house in St Francis Bay. Thats over 50km! He obviously has line out in PE. PE to Ladies Slipper is rouglly 25km.

but i'm already good enough at bf2
 
I have to restrain myself from play bf2 all the time :( got a 5gb cap. those mp3 sites are not so good. Torrents anyone.... besides all those sites are so mainstream and you have to pay :(
 
Torrents are the quickest way to kill your bandwidth.

All my bandwidth capacity goes to Bf2.
 
i was not in the mood to talk to anyone over voip, so i ran without a squad, i was suprised how much bandwidth i saved without all my squadies talking crap all night!
