Hey Guys,

I bought BF2142 yesterday and when i tried to create a new account it just kept on saying that the server could not be reached. I tried both IS & Saix international accounts.

I downloaded and patched BF2142 to the latest 1 that I got off the saix games ftp server. I think it's 1.25.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
SS

Few ideas here:

1. Maybe the servers were down for maintenance... try now?!?

2. Firewalls on router / windows blocking outbound access to the EA master server, I had this problem... i turned my firewall off and this fixed the problem then eventually sat down and setup all the ports etc (this was a damn mission!)

Try number 2 first... disable your firewalls and try... I'm betting it will work :)

I also had a problem setting up my account the 1st time. There server is normally very busy so it doesn't always go in 1st time. But just keep on trying u will get it after awhile.Unless your firewall is blocking it.

Cool I managed to get in last night and then it told me my cdkey is already in use... WTH??? This sucks... I'm going to take it back to the place i bought it and see if they'll swap it out.

They must swop it out!!!!

Your package was probably given to you OPEN... that is what happened to me.
DEMAND a closed / sealed package, if they give you problems, contact EA while being at the shop (there is a SA number in the manual) and they'll sort you out!

Did u buy it from incredible connection???Cos I know they make the stupid mistake of leaving the Game case open with the cd-key inside.idiots:eek:

I also couldn't create an account on last Saturday, just tried and tried and tried till it connected to the master server... Weird
