Bf3,feezing system

Hi all,well i installed bf3 again but on my system this time..played it from my i5 laptop last year.

System-core to quad 2.5ghz
--------4GB ddr3 kingston
--------Radeon HD7790
--------PSu Procase 500 (well it says 500watt maximum)

When in Campaign i play it on high to ultra settings ,sometimes it gets a pause moment where i wait for the system to come back to life ,but other than that the system runs the game like a dream with NO lag or sluggishness at all!

Though when i play Multi player ..(set my specs to medium) after 20-30mins the system freezes totally making me to force restart the system :/ why?! could it be my Psu acting up?
 
Could be overheating? Could even be a virus, malicious software, Windows failure... Who knows?

What you have to do is:
Google... If you don't find similar symptoms on google then you need to try and update all your drivers (small chance it will work).
Check your system log to find some info.
After Drivers and system log it will be component check and this is where it gets time consuming. First check some temps while in-game from your CPU, GPU, and RAM.
After that I will usually contact EA for their support, cause testing each component individually is very time consuming. Come back to us when you reach this part.

Windoze ? 7 or 8 ? I had this issue when I changed from 7 to 8 after turned out to be my graphics card driver.
 
That small freeze in single player makes me think it's a hard drive issue.
 
oky so i went and played multi again with a temp meter to check :/ ..

CPU touched 80 degrees on one point

Multiplayer isn't more graphically straining than single player. So I doubt it's that.

What hard drive are you using?

How much RAM do you have?

Seagate 1TB 7200rpm,4GB ddr3 kingston ..

but Mutli should be more demanding cause of the mass player increase ?still my cpu shouldnt be that hot lol
 
Temps are actually fine, unless there is some system fail safe stopping it. Small chance it can be your HDD, but why would it freeze your whole system and not just the game? It's odd that you have to scale down your settings just to play MP, what exactly happens when it's on Ultra (like your campaign) and try to play MP? A lot of lag and faster freeze of PC?

If your system freezes, do you get a blue screen, or does the image and sound just freeze?

how are the temps fine at 80 degrees :p
 
:/ ,think i got it "fixed" seems its my sound driver that's clashing with the game ..

When i turn off my sound(disable) i play for over a hour,when i enable it i play for 10-30mins before system locks up ..

thing is i dont want to play without sound!

Game is up to date I imagine. Try and google for a fix or update your sound driver
 
It's not the sound driver. I had it as well. It is the realtek chipset your onboard sound is using. Get a pci soundcard (that doesn't use realtek, something like c-media) or an external soundcard/usb sound adapter. That should fix the freezing and the I'm guessing the looping of the sound as soon as it freezes.

Of course it is.

Download 3dmark and see if you get a system lock up. To ensure it isn't a heat issue, take side cover off, put a fan there and set it on 3. That should cool everything and you can then see if it's heat or not.

i don't have realtek chips :/ ..think it's Ac's or something like that
 
Weirdest bug :/ .. The System i wanted to play Bf3 on has pirated windows 7 on with a app called RemoveWAT..

Got a fix on the net telling me how to remove it ect..Though my Windows isnt licensed but is clear from RemoveWAT ,game plays with no problems what so ever ..Time to go buy a license :D

So if seems some with pirate version of windows will maybe have this freezing system bug while playing Bf3
