Just picked up this on xbox at the IC sale and I plan to play it solo, but the reviews on SP campaign have been dismal. What has your experence with SP been like?

I started the campaign, but haven't finished it. It was kind of bleh for me. But give it a go, you might enjoy it.
Multiplayer is where it's at though. I've got 500 hours in multiplayer and can't get enough of it. I play on PC, so I'm not sure whether the XBOX experience is different.

Oh well for the price you paid for it, the single player might just be worth it.Atleast you didn't pay 600 bucks for the game to play it sp that would have been sad![]()
an hour of BF3 will be quite hectic I think because there is a lot happening so a lot of data has to be synched between the console and servers. Remember that BF3 online has HUGE maps (sometimes I can run for about 2 minutes without even seeing an enemy before I start getting contact. Think it through before you start playing on a pay as you go basis. You will very quickly get tired of topping up.
Battlefield was always a strictly multiplayer game. It was only with the BC series that a campaign was introduced. I played the entire campaign and would give it a 4/10. If you want good single player FPS action then stick to the Call of Duty games, or some of the other console stuff like gears of war and killzone and halo etc.
This and I honestly don't want to blow bandwith and time playing games online so ill give it a crack.
so you would rather play against dumb AI than play against actual people?
The problem is that it is damn near impossible to really shine in single player FPS games these days because the competition is so strong.
