BF4 question

So I'm playing on a map - we not alot of players but it's a fun game either way.
One player joins, I don't want to mention his nick because this is just a query but he is bloody good, rank 140, nailing people left right and centre and it doesn't look like he is even trying.
But that's okay... my question is, I have the SCAR-H SV with a FLIR [IR 2X] attachment.
Everyone (players) appears WHITE when I look through it, this player in question doesn't... he isn't visible at all - but his GUN is WHITE.
I've been paying BF4 for a while now, I've never seen that.

My question... is that normal or a possible cheat? We won't discuss his shooting because I've seen some amazing players - it's just that query of his player being BLACK or INVISIBLE on the FLIR.

Look, I think it is... but ya... the one kill against me was skeptical at least... I was basically on the opposite side of the map, prone, had him in sight but I was trying to get a "screenshot" of the 'incident' so I had my scope over him - he stopped, turned around and shot me as if he knew exactly where I was and that's when I was like... WTF... no way he could see me THAT fast from the other side of the map (no crouching or anything, he couldn't have even zoomed).

Okay, so it is NEW... because like I've said, I play with this setup alot and I've never seen that - so if it is new, coolies - my bad.

Hey bro. Apparently, the phantom assignment camo also enables this feature. Not a hack

They rank fast because they are using a paid hack. EA Dice will not ban players using paid hacks! Sadly most players in SA are using paid hacks because they believe they are superior and can get away with it.
