BFBC 2 MP Vs. COD Black Ops MP

Okay, seriously. After playing about two hours of BC2, I can honestly say, screw MW3. It's so much more rewarding getting a kill or accomplishing a goal with your teammates than it is on CoD. In fact, after I was done, I went back and played about 3 matches of MW2. I won by far in all three of them. Makes no sense, as it was with different people each match and previously I'd be bottom of the chart in the game. o.O

Everything about MW2 just screamed 'arcade' after playing BC2.

You can spend hours comparing the two games and get nowhere.
For me, what it comes down to is the visceral experience that BF has that pulls me in over and over again...
I sometimes find myself just sitting on the edge of a rock, looking out on the battlefield and being completely fascinated with the way things unfold (until, of course, that sniping bastard hands my ass to me.. haha)

Then there's the sound. Oh my word, I don't think any other game has ever managed to pull off that distinct feel of sheer size and havoc.
The other night I was showing the online play off to a few buddies of mine, they were almost shocked to find out that all the sounds etc. weren't just some cheap developer trick to fool you into thinking you're in a war, it was actually the combined efforts of 32 players going at it with guns, tanks, grenades etc.
Debris flying, buildings collapsing, smoke obscuring your view as some guy on a quad bike throws all caution to the wind and chases down a path like a bat out of hell, only to be epically cancelled by the perfectly calculated arc of a RPG. That "oh ****" moment and the following frightening scourge to safety when you sneak around a corner to find yourself staring down the barrel of an enemy tank.

And then, just like that, the madness gives way to moments of silence as you take cover and plan your next move.

Then there's those moments in the game that sometimes happens, you know, things that couldn't be scripted even if you tried.
Following the smoke trail of a rocket as it rips into the side of a chopper which drops and ploughs into two unsuspecting guys onto the ground... with the pilot safely floating away in his parachute to fight again.
Those are things that a score obsessed arcade war game simply cannot do.
