Sitting in my office i flicked channels on the tv, and on mnet was some Bieber concert or tour.
A doctor friend was once contracted by a promotions company that was handling a bieber concert.
He was telling me about the wierd palatable tension in the air while fans are anticipating his arrival. When he is 1st sighted, mass mysteria breaks out.
Some of the fans faint, some have cardiac issues. Many pee in their pants, some crap in theirs.

I am curious at to what is going on in their heads. Can some of them can really believe he is actually singing to them. Do some think "he is the one".

Fans have been a massive problem in many cities. Although authorities take precauions, mass hysteria is unpredictable. It just takes a few people to set the mob off in a different direction.

So what is it about him that causes this, what are the hysterical fans really thinking - what is swilling in their heads at the time ?
 
Didnt the same happen to young women with Elvis and the Beatles etc in their time?

I'm not equating him to them musically before the usually crowd get riled up
 
Coz his hot!! Same as one direction :love: or Zayn Malik! Things I would do with him...

Yep, and the rolling stones had their share of hysterical fans
 
I am wondering about what is going on in the heads of fans or do the brains "freeze up" for a bit.
"Phantom flatulance" and the sudden onset of periods also occur.

Seems some part of the brain shuts down and some organs just "do their own thing" in that time.
 
It has always boggled my mind too. What is actually triggered in their minds. What chemical or electrical impulses are turning on or off in order for people to wet themselves. Why is it an estrogen based affliction? I have not heard of mass hysteria by a group of teenage boys over Miley or something like that. Sure guys might try to get into some young hotties pants, or dream that they can, but fainting and wetting yourself? I am willing to be that the only type of guy that happens to is the extremely effeminate kind. Adding weight to the argument of it being a more female affliction. Odd really.

I would like to synthesize it and use it in product marketing/advertising :D
 
I rate they've associated his music with good things that happened while they were listening to it. First kiss at a party, the love scenes in a movie while those songs were playing. So naturally he's been associated with those things. It's also a bit of that group think, where you do things in a crowd that you wouldn't normally do on your own. Lets face it, he's also living the dream, and people can get to share a little of that when he's around. Cool by association and all that, the same way people brag about famous facebook contacts.
I've never been star struck though, so I can only guess.
 
Suppose its better than shooting up heroin for their highs.....
