When I got a scooter, the conclusion I came to is that those cheap scooters are liable to fall apart after a while.

OP- from what I have heard by a few colleagues and my brother, the Big Boy is much better than the Moto Mia. Have also not heard good things about them- they're basically the new Vuka.

If you're looking at scoots, look at a Honda PCX150 or similar.

, don't know now, but both Suzuki and Honda had specials on Scooters, you could check there as I'm sure that they will be more affordable over the long term.

What distance to work and back ? ...mine is 22km one way and this morning took me 90mins by car which on a bike would have taken 25mins. Also considering getting something like a scooter for its benefits - cheaper on petrol and save time by not being affected by peak hour traffic.

I had a Gomoto, which is quite similar to the Big Boy. Rode it for more than 2 years without any issues. Saved me a lot of time and money. So there is really nothing wrong with these Chinese scoots. You will love every moment, especially the ones where the cars are standing in queues forever and you just go through all of em..

So after this comment I went and looked at the price of the Vespa scoots to see how "cray cray" they are. Fsck me! ~R100k for a 300cc scoot? Are you ****ting me?
