The TV series had some good aspects (e.g. some of the casting) and some horrible aspects (everything related to the Harkonnen). Game was just plain bland & unbalanced.

I hope the new movie is going to be a huge epic like LOTR/SW/HP/Matrix. Certainly sounds like it.

Yep, probably a trilogy.
Can't do this in 90min.
 
Finally... something to replace the old 80's movie that mangled the plot so much.
 
I wonder how long this is going to take till it hits. 2 years or so?

I'm still battling to get all the books. All the bookstores are a bit useless. TopCD told me after 4 months of waiting that I must be patient, its transported by ship and therefore takes long...

Supposedly its going to be true to the book, so yes, I'd assume it has Vladimir in it.

The 80's movie got the feel of the environment right..but the plot was pretty messed up. Still loved it though.
