Big demand stresses MTN

Africa's biggest cellphone network provider, MTN Group, has doubled this year's capital expenditure (capex) to R30 billion as the demand for its services outstrips supply. MTN operates in 21 countries. It expects a leap in subscribers this year to 83 million from 61.3 million.

o boo hoo! catch a wakeup mtn

This is positive, wtf dude?:mad:

They are upgrading their network this year, according to me that is waking up, i think YOU must wake up and smell the roses.

I would say that this is long overdue.

I'm on Mtn for just under 5 years now, and slowly but surely quality has been dropping on calls, poor signal, 3G unstable, the list goes on. I guess die to the explosion of mobile broadband and to an extent even mxit, they have been trying their best to keep the network alive. Thank heavens they laying their own fiber so they can at least move faster than Telkom can.
