Big petrol price increase expected

Just in time for December holidays (for those still fortunate enough to do this), so the RAF gets more money for the government to loot.
This strange logic to assume that SA uses more fuel in December. When businesses are closed and people are commuting less. Or that it makes a difference to the duties collected.

Oh please, you clearly know nothing about how the fuel market works. You're just showing your ignorance.

So like so many braai conspiracies:
1) No evidence seems to exist to show that December fuel sales are higher in December (DME quarterly figures show no significance increase for the last quarter of the years I looked at).
2) The basis of the conspiracy theory (the price always goes up in December) is easily disproved.
3) The price increase/decrease formula is no secret and is based on factors outside the government's control (largely). Hence the ability of the useless AA to make predictions.
4) This is not how most of the duties work anyway.

So not only basis, but the mechanism and the reason for the theory is lacking.

Classic conspiracy theory. People feeling victimised because they think that their 1 tank of fuel to go to Durban is the norm and something of any significance.
