Big Sales dip for Incredible Connection

Makro and Dionwired have given them both a run for their money. If you are overpriced and your customer service is poor, your sales performance will suffer - can't be simpler than that - or?

It's scary that Dion Wired and Makro could outprice Hi-fi corp on every level in the last couple of months. I don't think I ever go into them anymore since their pricing is just higher than a massmart store is now.

And you throw in Guzzle for price comparison and you will be able to negotiate at for example a Dionwired for a lower price as well. Will be interesting to see how JD group companies are planning to refocus (especially considering that online e-tailers are slowly chipping away on the brick-and-mortar stores).

Im not impressed with DionWired. Tried to get something from their site, filled in an application, and they never got back to me :(

Poor customer service and inflated prices.
The in store sales people on't have the foggiest clue about any of their equipment.

Someone once explained to me the Standard Operating Procedure for salespeople at Incredible.
You hang around the back, waiting for a customer, but the senior guys get first dibs.
And they are sometimes clueless.

But have you looked at their non-specials lately. Its quite sad actually.

They only have themselves to blame.. Ripped me off with a printer, and they are facing such challenging conditions they turn the store aircons off to "save" money.

Hifi corp's salesmen feel like vultures, swooping in. They've obviously been told to push certain products, and so instead of just giving you straight answers, they are always pushing you towards some other product, and take personal offence if you don't listen. It's also a mission to return anything.
I don't mind incredible. They have some good products and their staff try to be helpful, but they don't always know more than the basics. Their return policy is also pretty good.
Its a pleasure to shop at Makro.
As for me though, I do a lot of my purchases online now days.

i pointed to an old unibody macbook pro in store and asked the sales rep if it has the new haswell architecture. he said yes. i then walked out.

Not surprised to hear this since I hadn't shopped there for almost a year. I've been supporting the smaller businesses and had awesome service :D

Yes because a smaller business is very likely going to feel the pain of a customer voting with his wallet in a situation of bad service.
My general rule-of-thumb is, the bigger the business, the less likely they give a damn about you.
