Biggest and baddest ADSL data users in SA

These figures must burn the poor guys suffering poor service delivery from their ISPs.

Notice how most of the top users are on Business accounts and notice how most of those complaining are on Home accounts.

what i cant follow - is that these users have to buy 2TB of HDD space every month to store all this on average???

Openweb CEO Keoma Wright said they have seen a 40% year-on-year increase in data usage on their uncapped ADSL accounts.

Yeah their uncapped users went from 10GB to 14GB a month!

Most people have a NAS of some sort at home now, with 4 or more 2-6TB drives in them. So space isn't really an issue if you delete it after you've watched it.

Who said they store it?

1080P series are 5gig's a pop. You do the math.

Reality is you wont have the time to watch all the stuff you download, impossible. Few years ago when I got uncapped I downloaded a lot of stuff and most of it I never got around to watching. It's like a pig at a eat all you can buffet, it gets tired very quickly.

I'll bet most these figures aren't from a single person; they're from nerds sharing a house or something. I know some people who share a place and pull down in the TB's a month on a big ADSL line.

They could also be streaming a lot of 1080p content as well...

I find it quite interesting that for most of the ISPs it is quite a big difference between the account that has used the most bandwidth and the second most bandwidth heavy account.
