Billboard on highway

/sees usual suspects = waste of time thread

You guys should just start your own forum and leave the rest of us alone.

So you're doing History in Matric?

Ye, done a lot of reading on the topic too though.

So they stole the land and holding it ransom so they won't steal the rest of it? Now you confused at why they throw rockets at them?
Huh?? :erm:

Why was the billboard taken down by continental?

Stole? not really. Israel had lost land prior to 67 too. Most of the country was about 10 miles wide, planes had to take off towards the Med because they would be in Jordanian airspace before they had gotten close to cruising altitude. The land gained post 67 was basically where the troops were when the fighting stopped. Jordan and Egypt basically decided to cut there losses afterwards (Egypt after the Yom Kippur War) and land for peace was the logical way to go.

Not too sure I would be too friendly with a people who have blown themselves up on your busses and have been launching rockets at you for 4 years.

Not to mention Israel took that land after being attacked unprovoked.
Maybe they should not have attacked her?

And how did Isreal came to be? or was they just there and made a country? Just curious :)

and how did Jordan come to be, and Syria and Lebanon and Iraq and Saudi Arabia and the Emirates and Iran and so on and so on - none of them existed on any map in 1915 or had the defined borders they have today?

No idea, but marine1 seems to know a lot so that's why I'm asking him.

Palestine doesn't exist. How can you occupy something that doesn't exist?

Collapse of the Ottoman empire British created new borders?

Indeed, though with the help of the French, and at the same time the Peel commission and the then league of nations also promised the entire Palestine mandate to the Jews, including the East part (called Jordan these days) and including the so called West bank areas, where the made up palestinian squatters are sitting today.

Since we're distributing land based on books, if another book promised the area to a different people, who'd get preference?
