Can you log into the router by typing 10.0.0.2 on the web address? Go to Advanced >> Configuration >> Lan >> Wireless and change the wireless ChannelID to channel 6 or 11. Test if your laptop if still not connecting to the router.

ok i change it to channel 6 and channel 11 and both times it still didnt connect :(

anything else?

I have confirmed that windows 7 PC does not get a DHCP IP address via wireless connection, but it works with static IP address. Can you please give your computer a static IP that is in the same IP range as you router. By default the Billion 400G IP address is 10.0.0.2, you will give your Windows 7 computer an IP address of 10.0.0.105 subnet mask 255.255.255.0 default gateway 10.0.0.2 and preferred DNS will be 10.0.0.2

ok i did that and still nothing... maybe its just a lost cause. its kinda frustrating cause my laptop connects fine wireless to a other wireless routers without fiddling.

does the router need a firmware update? or what?

Can you comfirm which firmware version is currently installed on your router? The latest firmare version should be 5.53.s3.d3.rc5.069. You can contact Sizwebroadband on 0860 11 00 46, to request the latest firmware.

Login to your router and go to advanced >> configuration >> LAN >> Wireless. Change your Channel ID to channel 11. Test if you can connect to the router wirelessly.

Hi,
I am unable to connect my iPhone to a Billion 400G Router (installed one year ago), but many laptops and other cellphones do connect to it. The iPhone detects the network but after I enter the password for the router(checked many times for correctness) the response comes "unable to connect to network". This happens even when standing next to the router. The iPhone does connect to other routers.

can anyone help please?
Richard

iPhone Billion 400 G router connect problem

The iPhone does connect to other routers.
I've tried the fix mentioned on the Apple website which is to reset wireless settings on the phone. problem continues.

can anyone help please?

problem

hi, i have a mecer bravo laptop, and works when i am close to the adapter but as soon as i am 2 meters away it stops working, the ralink utility turns red with a cross.

OMG!!!

General Problems go here?

I have a client with 5 PC's, mixed Win7, Vista and XP. They all connect Wirelessly to a Billion 7300N. That router died and while sending it off for warranty I replaced it with a Billion 400G, now all PC's can ping the Router without losing a packet, all PC's can browse the internet through the router BUT they lose packets like mad when they ping each other??? All firewalls are disabled. I have tested with another Billion 400G and get the same result. I have shut down all pc's and systematically brought up 2 at a time and tried pinging between them, I get the same result. I have also tried chaning channels on the router to no avail.

If I put one PC onto an ethernet port on the router, all other Wireless PC's can ping that one without issue, so it only seems to effect client to client over wifi.

I am going to rebuild the IP stacks tonight and see if that helps, if it doesnt then the last thing I can think of trying is formatting and reinstalling all the OS's..... You can imagine how much I dont want to do this.

I have already run Malwarebytes, CCleaner and Avast, picked up a few issues but all supposedly resolved.

If you have experienced anything like this before please let me know, im starting to think im going mad.

The Billion 400G is a POS router, for anything wireless that is. It can handle wired connections well, but don't bother putting the wifi on.

I also have the Billion 400G Modem. I hate that thing.

Run the Troubleshooter on Win 7 Under Network and Sharing center, that solved my Wi-Fi connectivity issue on the modem.

My modem somehow disconnects Wi-Fi and the Wi-Fi network will not be discoverable for like 30 minutes (until it decides to restart).

I have the Billion 400G and the wifi is not working.
It is activated and working fine but both my samsung galaxy tab 7 and my laptop both connect through wifi easily and the info tab says with both that signal strength is good and all is in order but with both I cannot browse or use internet. O and i have windows vista.

You can try to reset the TCP/IP stack in Windows to possibly repair the Internet connection if it is corrupted. Go to Start, Run and type in CMD. Type the following commands:

netsh int ip reset reset.log

netsh winsock reset catalog

Reboot and test

I had the same problem with my Billion 400g modem, the modem is on but the wifi isnt working.

I returned my modem (it was under warranty) and they gave me a new one (a netgear).

Can anyone tell me if the Billion 400g is 150 Mbps or 300 Mbps? I am borrowing a friend's old one as my modem got struck by lightning and I am still contemplating what to replace it with. Txs much!
