I recently purchased a Billion 7300N-RE wireless router http://www.billion.com/product/wireless/BiPAC-7300NRE-Wireless-N-300Mbps-ADSL2-Router.html, the router was purchased with the purpose of sharing the internet connection among at least 8 devices (users). Unfortunately, it seems the router can only handle 7 users at a time and in order for an 8th device/user to make a connection one of the other devices needs to be disconnected. I upgraded the firmware and still have the same issue. I looked all over their site and read through the manual and no where does it mention a limit on the number of users.

Does anyone know if there is a limit or what if it's just a setting I need to change?

Good day,

There should be no limit to the amount of devices you can connect to the router. I suspect the firmware you are using might be faulty. Please make sure you download the firmware from the local www.billionsa.com website or send the guys at Billion SA support a mail and they will send you the latest firmware. [email protected]

Thanks a lot for getting back to me. I had the problem when I bought the router and even after upgrading the firmware the problem has persisted. I downloaded the latest firmware a week back from the billionsa site http://www.billionsa.com/support/download/firmware/wireless.php

I had called billionsa yesterday and after speaking to one of the tech consultants he told me to forward him an email and the issue would be forwarded to the head office in China, which would take about 2 weeks. It has been quite frustrating and I really dont want to return the router since it has worked quite well, aside from this issue. Should I still send [email protected] an email?
