Hi,

Anybody here using this modem/router?

I have a wireless-g mimo router with a separate ADSL 1 port modem. Now I want to replace them with a router+modem (one box instead of 2 boxes). I am interested in this new Billion draft-N modem/router, but I have a few questions about it.

Does it support PPPoE passthrough/relay? The manual available online doesn't mention this feature.

Is the wall penetration power or coverage in mixed (n+g) mode the same as in 802.11g mode only? My current MIMO router is able to cover my whole house with strong signals, even through 4 to 5 walls.

Thanks

It does support PPPoE with passthrough and also wireless N includes MIMO, so it should do the same maybe better than your current MIMO router.

We have had a lot of positive feedback on this router.

What chip does it use? I believe it's trendchip for ADSL with some other Wireless chip? What's the ROM/RAM size and is there any new firmware for it as I see the latest is dated 2007?

As I understand most Billion routers use Trenchip
is there any new firmware for it as I see the latest is dated 2007?
well then you know the firmware is bug free:)
