Can someone please give me instructions on how to use a Huawei E 303 modem with the billion router.

Please a step by step guide. I dont have an ADSL, or telkom line at all, so just want to use the router to provide a wifi connection from my 3g USB dongle.

Am using 8ta, and a Billion 7300NX.

Thanks

Good day,

I hope you are well.

Please note the Huawei E 303 works fine on the router however for some reason the 3G dongle also uses a IP address in the same range of the router. In order for you to get it to work you need to change your routers IP address range, to do this please follow these steps:

With your router connect to your pc and switched on open your internet browser.
Type in the routers web address ( 192.168.1.254 ) and press enter.
When asked for the username and password enter admin as both and enter.
You should now be in the routers web interface.
Go to ADVANCED / CONFIGURATION / LAN / ETHERNET and change the IP address from 192.168.1.254 to 192.168.2.254 .
After you apply the router will ask you to log back into the router webinterface via 192.168.2.254 .
Once logged back in go to save config on the bottom right hand corner and click on apply.

Your 3G dongle should now work fine on the router.

Kind regards

Billion Team

Am using 8ta, and a Billion 7300NX.
