Billion 7402NX - Wireless dead

Anyone ever had these issues:

THe wireless just stopped working. Nothing. The guy I bought it from cannot be found so no warranty.

Anyone have any ideas on how I can fix.

I really like the router so would like to see if I can fix it.

Alernatively if anyone knows of a "Reasonble" gigabit ethernet, wireless n adsl router please let me know.

See if you can't do a hard reset on that router.

If that doesn't fix it, then you could try to contact Billion directly if possible.

Thanks. Did a hard reset, reflashed latest firmware.

I did some searching and found that it is actually common problem on the australian whirlpool forums.

yikes. these routers are now R 2000 +-. Definitely not getting another one of these.

nope. am using my old Billion 7402 GX which actually gives me a better SNR on the exact same line. strange. I get a stable 8mbps on this router where as the N, I had to drop to 4 for a stable connection.

will probably just add a gigabit switch (which i have) and wireless n point (cheapie).

not going to spend r2k for a new 7402 NX as awesome as it was.

Also has USB so you can add storage to the network quickly (not that I will ever use that feature)
