I have a problem - pleeeeeeze help!

I bought a BiPAC 7202(G) ADSL Router from Jump.co.za.

I setup a wireless LAN with WEP encryption and used it sucessfully to connect my desktop PC and my laptop for a week. Suddenly I lost connection between my Laptop and the ADSL modem (as I was about to throw a swarm of zerglings at an unsuspecting protoss legion controlled by my wife) and could not find it again.

I switched the modem off. Pulled out the plug, start again - still nothing.
Rebooted the PC - still nothing.
Regenerated the Wep encryption keys - still nothing.
Disabled all encryption - still nothing.

I eventually reset the modem to factory settings and was still unable to connect. (I held down that little button that you need to find somthing small enough for; a pin is too small, a pen is too big )

My Laptop simply does not detect any available network at all. The WiFi light on the modem does not seem to come on.

Has anybody expierenced this before? Do I have a broken modem? Do you think the ADSL part of the modem will still work (I get installed on Wednesday - apparently)

Is there anything that I can do that I haven't thought of?

ok, don't throw a brick at me but does the WiFi on the laptop have a manual on/off switch (it happend to me - the damn thing was off and I was about ready to throw my Wireless router through the neighbours window)

With the 7202, check if WLAN is up and running in the config. My light stays on and only flickers when there's activity.

My thought is, either it's been turned off on the modem or bust.

[brick sitting peacefully on th floor]

I have checked that the wifi on my laptop is 'enabled' - but there is no way for me to check whether it is actually working; that I can find anyway.

Have you had any luck getting the wlan(wireless) to work again?

Mine has been working fine for about 2 months and all of a sudden the WLAN has stopped working. Light stays off all the time and If I check the status screen the WLAN shows it is off. It is enabled on the Wireless menu, I have enabled and disabled as well as restarted the modem/router a few times but for some reason the Wireless won't work anymore.

Im having the same problem, is this router abit faulty?

Nope, its never worked since :(

I have upgraded the firmware - still nothing. These billion modems seem to be problematic.
