Hi all and thank you so long for your opinions.

I have had a Netgear DG834GT for almost 5 years now. Lately I have to disconnect power for a couple of seconds and then reconnect because it looses the wireless connections.

I had a look at the Billion routers and they seem very good. I had a look at this: Billion 7300N RE Wireless-N what is your opinion about this one?

Regards,
Deon

I prefer Netgear, and whenever I lose wireless connection it's not the unit's fault (even though resetting does help sometimes). Reset of the PC/Laptop's wireless unit usually the culprit.

Check to see if you can get a Firmware update for your Netgear

I have a billion 7300RA ADSL router w/4 port switch. I would not recommend this particular one.

As an ADSL router it is about 80% fine, but when you saturate the switch ports (ie, copying files from one PC to another) it starts dropping packets (and has rebooted itself a couple of times).

Sometimes the ADSL connection slows down dramatically for no reason at all as well, and a router reboot fixes this.

i would say netgear!! i have had very few problems with them, they easy to work with, simple interface and are just plain awesome!
