me as well ! didn't have time to re-boot but will do so when i'm back home.

i did the port forwarding last night (for the first time) and it worked perfectly, then this morning i noticed it was connected but not going on-line ... i thought it was something i did wrong with the port forwarding.

Which ISP? I had a similar problem last week and called SAOL to "Re-initialise" my account. It worked fine after that..

i have same problem with telkom today my billion router wont connect to internet so using my old router

Mweb here :(

i phoned them and the consultant said to re-boot the router cos the problem is not on their side. i'll only have a chance to do that when i'm back home, if you don't come right maybe phone telkom and ask them to re-fresh your port (read that somewere)

OK it may be a problem with Vista too (not entirely sure). But there have been known problems when using Windows to create a PPPoE connection.

Rather install RASPPPOE (google it) and use it to create your connection.

Really? I've never had a problem making a PPPoE connection with Win XP unless there was really something wrong. RASPPPOE not supported on Vista.

Guys im still down, anyone else still hanging? Phone Mweb yesterday, SEACOM repair was cancelled on Sunday. Dont believe this is SEACOM related though.

Anyone in the JHB/Brianston/Sandton area mind logging a call with Telkom relating the Billion routers for the PPPoE hanging?

Telkom said line is fine.... Think its time to buy a different router, seriously.
