Billion Router - connection status "no response"

Hi There,

I've tried google-ing but just cannot find this weird router connection status.

My dsl is fine (line sync's) the WAN says connecting and after some time it says "no response"
Have any of you seen this? I'm going to try another router but this router use to work fine.

Seems like an authentication problem on telkom exchange

Try another router and see if the problem occurs again. If it does then the router is fine and its time to call Telkom for assistance.

I would call them anyway their test equipment should detect a fault without you having to get another router.

I hope you are well. Please note the "no response" error you receive on your routers status can be due to quite a few things, but the main concern would be that the router is unable to Authenticate with your ISP. Does this happen the whole time or just from time to time? Also have you tried a different username and password like the Telkom test account?

If you are able to connect with another account you know the issue is either with your username and password or rather a problem on the ISP side. If both accounts give you the same problem there might be a issue with either the ADSL line, DSLAM or your router.
